6 Nations Opening Weekend

This weekend was pretty much dominated by the rugby for me. I support Ireland, being half Scottish, half Irish it really comes down to a choice between Grand Slams and Wooden Spoons.. Both produced good games and the first half of the Irish-Welsh match was excellent, especially Zebo's flick leading to a well deserved win after three previous losses to Wales (all of which were won by cheating btw, lets not forget the wrong-ball incident).

The Calcutta Cup match was less entertaining, and the overall quality of rugby was poorer, there was no way Scotland were going to overthrow England in Twickenham, but a good effort.
The French-Italian game was surprisingly exciting and pretty tense towards the end as Italy took a hard earned win over a weaker than usual France.

An exciting first weekend, lets hope for a Grand Slam in BOD's potentially last ever 6 Nations.
